Original Chopard Mille Miglia Single-Pusher Chronograph watch c.1988 The Original 1988 Mille Miglia Stop-Watch was created in honour of the 1000 mile classic car race from Brescia to Rome (which I think Stirling Moss still holds the record for). At the time, Quartz watches were all the rage and so Chopard, who became the official time-keeper produced the watch accordingly. This is one of the first Mille Miglia’s (numbered 15/9161 on the reverse) and is still working fine today in pretty good condition. It is presented on an after-market rally strap with red stitching that reflect the colouring of the watch quite nicely. It is a single-pusher chronograph that springs perfectly back to the 12 o’ clock position when depressed a second time. It is 36mm in size without including the screw-down crown. An excellent watch that gets plenty of compliments. Any questions then please ask, I’m open to offers but not in any hurry to see this one go, so please keep them reasonable.There are only one or two other sellers offering one of these on e-Bay and around the web and they are asking upwards of £1000, so this is a good offer for the discerning collector or simply someone who prefers something original and of it’s era. Please note – this is a vintage watch so I can’t guarantee it is waterproof, it is however keeping good time as you would expect.
